Electric Earth Concerts presents Jesse Does Jazz: The Hope Quartet
Electric Earth Concerts presents Jesse Does Jazz!: The Hope Quartet on Friday, July 21, 2017 at 7:30 pm at Bass Hall in Peterborough, New Hampshire. Electric Earth Concerts regulars know that The Horszowski Trio frequently performs at EEC concerts. Their violinist, Jesse Mills, moonlights as a jazz musician. Here’s your opportunity to hear Jesse show another side of his musical persona, with his other band, the Hope Quartet. Joining Jesse in the Hope Quartet are: Roy Nathanson, saxophonist, Curtis Fowlkes, trombonist, and bassist Tim Kiah. Roy and Tim have an illustrious history of playing together in the Jazz Passengers, which they co-founded. Tim and Jesse have performed together for fifteen years, and formed a band called Nurse Kaya. The Hope Quartet has been playing traditional concert venues and clubs; their music is a blend of jazz, soul, and classical. All members sing and play both original music and some covers. It’s a genre-bending experience, both sensitive and powerful. Admission to this event is $25. More information and tickets are available at online at ElectricEarthConcerts.org. and at the door (cash or check only).
