Yoga for Posture and Wellness, including meditation with Ponies
As we age, our bodies begin to take a forward lean, shoulders begin to come forward, upper back begins to curve downward, we sag and slump in ways that add stress to our spines. During this 4 week course we will focus on learning some basic yoga postures, (which will work towards improving posture), breath work, and fundamental relaxation and meditation techniques.
Over the 4 weeks we will gently build on skills to strengthen the body, increase stamina and flexibility with self awareness. You will learn to safely adapt and modify postures to suit your specific body.
We will bring each class to a close, practicing a meditation together with critically endangered Newfoundland Ponies, who will be awaiting our presence.
This 4 week class meets on Wednesdays, July 31 - August 21, @ 4pm. Beginners welcome.
Maximum class size is 10 students.
4 weeks for $48 or $15 per class.
