The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) is a United States government agency that provides support to entrepreneurs and small businesses. .. SBA loans are made through banks, credit unions and other lenders who partner with the SBA. The SBA provides a government-backed guarantee on part of the loan.
Our Guest speaker will be Wendell Davis, Regional Administrator for SBA New England. Wendell G. Davis serves as the regional administrator for Region I of the U.S. Small Business Administration, overseeing the delivery of the agency’s financial assistance, technical assistance and government contracting activities throughout Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont and Rhode Island. He was appointed to this position on January 8, 2018.
Prior to his work with the SBA Mr. Davis was managing partner at DCB Law Group, LLC where he established the firm’s Commercial Transactions Practice Group.
Mr. Davis has an undergraduate degree in Political Science from Central Connecticut State University and is a past president of the University’s alumni association. He is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame Law School and comes to the SBA with 15 years’ experience as small business owner. Mr. Davis lives in Amston, Connecticut with his wife Sarah and three sons.
Also in attendance will be representatives from the Small Business Development Center in Keene, NH Made, and the six Chambers of Commerce in the Monadnock Region.
