Artist to Artist Workshop
Arts Alive! in partnership with the Hannah Grimes center presents an Artist to Artist workshop on Intellectual Property Law on Wednesday, November 29th at 4 pm - 5:30 pm at MAxT Makerspace in Peterborough, NH.
Attorney Amanda Nelson will present a brief introduction to the three major areas of intellectual property law: copyrights, patents and trademarks. She will discuss the distinction between these three areas, what, specifically, they protect, and how to use intellectual property laws to protect your livelihood.
"An artist's greatest asset is her creativity," says Nelson, "And intellectual property law is designed to protect this powerful asset."
After the formal presentation, the floor will be open for the attendees to ask general questions about Intellectual Property law and how it applies to their work.
